Our Story . . .
One day our son's teacher asked me if I could get him a door stopper for their classroom. Me, being the
crafty person that I am, couldn't just go buy him a plain old rubber door stopper. Oh no! I had to come up
with something more creative. After days of searching the local craft stores, hardware stores, and the
Internet, I ran out of options that were financially reasonable. I discovered that no one sold creative
wooden door stoppers.
So I went back to the local home improvement store, bought my materials and begin sawing, sanding,
painting, and assembling my original wooden door stoppers. I made my first custom door stopper and
gave it to our son's teacher. Other parents and teachers began asking where they could buy it. When I
told them I'd made it, they were amazed and started ordering different designs.
People then wanted to use the designs as garden art or key holders so we are expanding our craft to
include those items. Photos of the new products will be online soon.
I know I get my "craftiness" from my mom because although she's over 70, she recently took up watercolor
painting. With a little nudging from me, I convinced her to reproduce some of her original designs on note
cards. People kept asking her for new designs because they were so popular. We knew she just had to
expand her craft farther than her local customers. That brought us to the Internet and here we are.
